About Whale and Dolphin Conservation

WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation is the leading global NGO dedicated to whales and dolphins. Our expert-led teams in the UK, Europe, the Americas, and Australasia work across the whole spectrum of conservation threats, from climate breakdown to accidental entanglements in fishing gear. We bring together, and work with companies, philanthropists, scientists, NGOs, governments and grassroots communities to find solutions to the problems faced by whales and dolphins.  We are entirely funded through voluntary donations and grants by people and partners who, like us, want to see a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free.

Before C-me

WDC placed a strong emphasis on enhancing communication, particularly among their international senior leadership team. They aimed to foster a culture where employees appreciate one another's diverse communication preferences and working styles. Noticing small conflicts and misunderstandings arising, WDC sought effective solutions to address these issues. Simultaneously, they decided to reimagine their onboarding process to ensure a smooth and valuable experience for new hires.

Results after working with C-me

C-me onboarded WDC employees to their platform and accredited several individuals to become C-me experts, enabling them to conduct internal training and workshops. As a result, employees now report a greater appreciation for and understanding of each other's differences and communication preferences. WDC has noted that introducing a common language has been instrumental in resolving conflicts and misunderstandings.

WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation began using C-me as a tool for improving communication across our international senior leadership team. It helped us appreciate each other’s communication preferences better, and understand and avoid previous areas of misunderstanding. We have now started to roll C-me out across the UK organisation, putting it into our Onboarding process to help teams communication effectively and appreciate each other’s contribution.
