Before C-me

Taking on new leadership responsibilities and managing a rapidly growing team spread across the country presented its own set of challenges. The BBC realised that their geographically dispersed teams were not getting to know each other well. Leaders needed to learn how to manage effectively amidst these dynamics. Additionally, the BBC aimed to help teams interact better and support other departments within the organisation to maintain healthy boundaries. An Annual Engagement Survey revealed that team members were not as engaged as anticipated, highlighting the need for improved interaction and support.

We have used C-me for a number of years now. Our first C-me experience was when I became a team leader and took on several new members of staff. It really helped improve communication in the team as it gave newer members an insight into the more long-standing members. When my team was expanded C-me has been a great way to give people who had never met in person a structured way of getting to know each other, with a shared common language to describe people's differences and individual strengths.
